Email / Password Not Recognized (Log In Issue)

If you are attempting to log into the Kognito website, and you are receiving an error message stating that your username and password are not recognized, there are a few simple steps to make sure that your information is correct:
 

 

Do you have a Kognito Account?

The first thing you'll want to check is that you have registered a Kognito account. If this is your first time logging into the Kognito website, you'll want to click on the orange link in the Sign-in box that says "Don't have an account? Click Here." Then follow the Account Creation Steps

 

Are your Email and Password Entered Fully and Correctly?

You'll want to make sure that you enter the correct email address and password (the ones you used to register your Kognito account), and that you are entering the information fully and correctly. 
 
  • Make sure that you have the full email address entered (including the part after the "@" symbol).

  • Any additional spaces before or after your email address or password will be read as additional characters, so if you are copying and pasting your email address, please be sure that you are not capturing any spaces. 
  • If your browser has an auto-fill extension (that automatically fills in your email address or password), be sure that it is not entering the incorrect information by default. These programs will sometimes try (incorrectly) to anticipate what password you are entering.

 

Forgot your Password?

If you need to reset your password, you can click on "Reset Your Password" and type in your email address into the provided field. 
 

If the email you entered isn't currently registered to a Kognito Account, you will receive the error message below:
