VISTS allows you to select between two difficulty levels. Upon selecting a scenario from the main menu, users are prompted to choose between the Basic and Advanced versions of the scenario.
The Advanced version allows you to practice more advanced Motivational Interviewing (MI) and TEACH skills, and the virtual patient will be more difficult to persuade.
The most common practice is to take the basic version of a scenario before advancing to the more advanced version, but you can choose to take them in any order.
When starting the scenario, click Basic or Advanced to proceed (as shown in the image below).
